This Superhome has a lot of features packed in to its small footprint for minimal up-front cost. The foundation is fully insulated with hydronic underfloor heating run by an air-to-water heatpump that also heats the hot water cylinder.
Ecopanel 90 series makes up the airtight structure with insulation value of R4.2 in the walls and R6.3 in the ceiling. To compliment the airtight envelope a mechanical ventilation system with 90% heat recovery has been installed. Thermally broken windows with Low E glass, argon filled and recessed into the warm part of the wall completes the thermal envelope.
