Rifleman Lane House
Our clients approached us for our vast experience in building high end energy efficient homes. The design had been worked on for several years by them and their brief was clear. There was to be no toxic materials of any kind on the site even for temporary works let alone in the home, having to research and source the right products was another great opportunity for us to learn.
From the MCA treated timber to the Abodo cladding to the low VOC paints and glues. They wanted a beautiful home to match the beautiful views. Split over 5 levels it was the perfect job to utilize prefabrication, and so the Ecopanel 140 series (R5.5) was used and as a result the shell was weathertight in 5 days saving our clients money on labour and other overheads.
Air tightness is a common theme with all our builds, and this was no different. Using the Lunos ventilation in the walls as there was limited roof space was a great solution.
